Learning from tragedy

As lead author of this 2024 PACTS report, Nick directed a comprehensive national study into how coroners’ recommendations following road fatalities can inform and improve transport safety policy and practice. The project involved detailed analysis of systemic failings, cross-sector engagement, and the development of actionable recommendations for government and stakeholders. The project demonstrated Nick’s ability to lead high-impact research, navigate complex regulatory and legal contexts and drive evidence-based improvements in national road safety strategies
